This week's question is running a little late. We took the day off today and I keep thinking it's the weekend, LOL!
What do you feel/do when you finish a piece? Do you have the next piece lined up? Do you take some time off? Do you feel a sense of accomplishment or a sense of loss?
I have kind of a loss of stitching mojo when I finish something. I don't want to think or start another piece for at least a few days. I think part of the reason is cos I'm a slow starter, but when I'm 3/4 of the way there, I go stitch-crazy and power through to the end. When I finish, all I want to do for the next few days is to look at the finished piece, which is always placed against the back of a recliner that faces the couch, where I can look over and see it at all hours of the day. I don't want to think about another start, I don't want to look at another pattern, I don't want to do anything else but enjoy what I have just finished.
A lot of my friends put off stitching those last few stitches cos they don't want to see the project come to an end... I don't understand that. :)
